Appalachian Youth Services Day Treatment Classroom
Ages 5–20 · School District Referral

1. Day Treatment Program

A structured day program providing intensive behavioral and educational support in partnership with local school districts and IU8, helping students stay on track academically while developing healthy coping skills.

  • Academic remediation, credit recovery & individualized tutoring

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) & life skills training

MALES Ages 10–20 · Court-Appointed (CYS / Probation)

2. Kathys House (Residential Services)

A structured, long-term residential program providing a safe, trauma-informed environment that promotes healing, accountability, and personal growth.

  • Intensive group & individual counseling

  • Trauma-focused care

  • Empathy development & Balanced and Restorative Justice (BARJ) curriculum

3. Sutton House (Independent Living)

A structured residential transition program for older youth preparing for independent living. As an ideal step-down option, the program focuses on building practical life skills, financial responsibility, and the confidence needed for long-term success.

  • Daily living skills instruction & financial literacy
  • Employment readiness, vocational guidance & continuous educational tracking
