Kathys House is a highly structured, long-term residential program on our peaceful 12-acre campus in Ebensburg, PA. We provide a safe, trauma-informed home environment specifically designed to help dependent and delinquent youth navigate a deliberate, transformative healing process.

Evidence-Based Clinical Frameworks

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Informed Care (TIC/TRC) across intensive group and individual counseling sessions.

Boundary & Relational Growth

Clinical milestones targeted using standardized tools (JSSOTR, MPRS, CAFAS, Beck Inventory) to build empathy, perspective-taking, and healthy personal boundaries.

Academic Remediation

Coordinated school placement, individualized tutoring, credit recovery, and clear high school diploma tracks.

Restorative Justice & Skills

Balanced and Restorative Justice (BARJ) models alongside life skills preparation, vocational guidance, and job readiness training.

Family Alignment

Rebuilding systemic family support networks through structured therapy sessions focused on clinical clarification and safe long-term permanency planning.

Admission Requirements & Guidelines

Who We Can Serve

  • Males ages 10-20 who are either adjudicated, dependent or delinquent.

  • Individuals with varying intellectual abilities.

  • Children with sexualized history or behaviors

  • Youth with extraordinary medical needs

We Cannot Accept

  • Active chemical dependency

  • Severe physical safety risks to self/others that exceed a staff-secure setting
  • Firesetting/arson convictions

Kathys House is a staff-secure (not locked) community-based residential facility. Safety is maintained through structure, supervision, and trained staff rather than physical confinement.
