AYS operates a highly structured Day Treatment Program offering a supportive daytime environment where youth receive intensive emotional, behavioral, and academic programming — while continuing to live safely at home.
Partnering closely with local school districts, the Central Cambria School District, and the Appalachia Intermediate Unit 08 (IU8), we help students overcome complex behavioral challenges and transition seamlessly back into public schools.

Academic Remediation & Support
Delivered in direct coordination with sending school districts and IU8 personnel: customized instruction tailored to unique learning styles, targeted credit recovery for graduation requirements, and seamless diploma pathways.

Evidence-Based Clinical Frameworks
Therapy woven directly into the student’s daily routine: CBT counseling to reframe dysfunctional thoughts, Trauma-Informed Care (TIC & TRC), and objective clinical tracking, the Beck Inventory, and the Forward Thinking Journal Series.

Social Skill & Preventative Education
Preparing youth for long-term success, bullying prevention, suicide awareness, ASPIRE program, and the development of anger management and peer-relations skills.
